These appliances need to be professionally installed by qualified, registered engineers – for safety’s sake, to honour the guarantee and also to ensure that your new cooker or oven works properly as it was designed to do.
When you need a new electric or gas cooker or oven installed in or around Manchester and Liverpool, and across Merseyside, call North West Appliance Solutions on 01925 377 977.
We all love to cook, or eat what someone else has cooked, so it’s no surprise that the market in the UK for cookers, ovens and hobs is vast and full of variety.
There are dozens of brands of ovens and cookers available from high end Rangemaster and Flavel and popular makes like Beko and Hotpoint, to budget High Street house brands. They come in all shapes, sizes, colours and combinations, running on gas or electricity or both, with ceramic, glass or solid plate tops, double or triple ovens, with grill, fan or conventional cooking options, free-standing or integrated into the kitchen cabinetry.
When you need a new oven the choice of options can be bewildering, but if you live in North West England one thing that is not difficult to decide on is which experts will be best to install your new cooker.
North West Appliance Solutions is the leading domestic appliance repair and installation company in the region, covering the Manchester and Liverpool metropolitan areas, as well as Merseyside and Cheshire, through to Warrington, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Stockport Cheshire, Bolton, Stockport and Wigan.
We’re renowned for our fair pricing, excellent customer service and commitment to first class workmanship, so we make a professional job of installing your new cooker or oven.
If you choose to have a new gas cooker installed (even if it has an electric oven) by law you will have to have it installed by a professional gas engineer who is on the Gas Safe Register, specified as competent to install gas hobs, ovens or gas-fired ranges.
This also applies to fitting cookers fuelled by LPG (bottled) gas. This is because working with gas is dangerous, and unqualified people are risking their lives if they tamper with it.
There are some other regulations that have to be complied with when installing a new gas cooking appliance too:
You can be confident that our Gas Safe Registered cooker installers know all there is to know about properly connecting up your new gas cooking appliance so that it is safe to operate.
If you require proof for insurance purposes that your gas cooker has been professionally installed we can arrange for you to receive a Building Regulations “Declaration of Safety Certificate” (though this isn’t a regulatory requirement except for large gas range cookers with a flue).
We'll provide you with a fully qualified, DBS vetted engineer to your local area.
Need your appliance fixed the same day? We offer a same day service to our customers.
No extra charges for call-out, labour or parts on the Repair & Care plan.
Most electric ovens and hobs available on the market are not of the “plug-in and play” variety.
The family-sized cookers with all the special features draw more than 3 kw of power, which means they can’t simply be plugged in to an electrical socket in your kitchen and start operating. Instead, the cable that comes attached to your new electric cooker will need to be hardwired into a special connection that emits sufficient current to power the appliance.
Whatever you do, don’t think you can attach a normal 13 Amp plug to the cooker cable and plug it in to a normal electrical socket. That will simply trip the mains and may even damage your new cooker. The cooker should be hardwired straight into the household wiring network, and have its own dedicated circuit breaker on your fuse board – work that needs to be signed off by a qualified electrician.
If you need to install a new free-standing electric cooker, or a built-in electric single or double oven and electric hob, you’ll need a professional to do the job. Our trained team of electric cooker and oven installers at North West Appliance Solutions will come to you promptly and punctually – with a same day service if requested – and get you cooking.
If you need advice, or are confused about the requirements for the installation of any new gas or electric cooking device, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We’re always happy to help.
